It's not the best and not the worst. I've come here, over the past ten years, and it hasn't changed. I don't think anything has changed and/or been really updated. It's maintained.
The place is your standard old, rundown hotel which needs repairs and updating. Far overpriced at $77 a night (increased due to hurricane evacuation of course). Breakfast was a joke... Milk and cereal. Power was out for half a day but that's not really anything they can control with all the wind. Also they say they are pet friendly on the web search sites but then they charge you an extra $10 when you get there. Do yourself a favor and book a different hotel.
It's very place nice as clean and cheap so for the little money that you spend it's a great place to stay at . Very friendly owners. It's really a cool place place to be . No Drug heads hang out there in n out of the rooms no dope hores neither.....
First, I am not hard to please. That being said, this place is a real dump. The management/ownership is clueless. We had a reservation and had our confirmation number and the owner could not even work his prehistoric computer well enough to find the reservation. After 15 minutes of fumbling around, he finally found it after I offered the confirmation number multiple times and he kept asking my name over and over. When he finally found it, he did not have a modern way to run my card. He wrote down my card number and 3 digit security code and had me sign a hand written receipt.
The last time I entered a room this bad, I was wearing handcuffs. This is basically a flea bag off ramp motel. The rooms are in horrible condition. My room smelled and the pillowcases were stained with god knows what. I'm just glad no one had a black light. Cleanliness is NOT an amenity and should be expected of any place that takes money from people to stay in their rooms. Bleach is cheap and even a older hotel with some neglect is infinitely more inviting if it is clean. Nasty floors dirty upholstery on the furniture and full beds with well broken in mattresses instead of double queens. By pass this one, you would better off staying under a bridge.
Stay far away from here. The manager does everything illegally. He purposefully rips off people in time of need. He price gouged during the hurricanes. All the food is over a year old and usually molded.
